We have home-made potato salad, goulash sauce, and the sauerkraut is also a popular accompaniment.
As soon as they enter the Markthalle, visitors’ mouths start to water – Wurst & Wonne offer their sausage specialities in the outside entrance area of the market building. In the light-flooded glass atrium, customers can choose from a variety of Austrian boiled sausages and various toppings. Even vegetarian customers can treat themselves to an ever-changing menu of seasonal soups.
For many Austrians, the sausage is the “fast food” of choice, so you decided on the traditional concept of frankfurters and co, which opposes the newer fast foods such as pizza and kebabs.
Because of the long tradition and other offerings, our customers value quality more and more, and that’s a huge advantage for us. We believe that our guests appreciate a good, classic sausage, even though they have a massive choice of other fast foods.
Speaking of choice – you don’t make it easy for the customers to decide
That’s true – aside from the classics like frankfurters, St. Johanners and Käsekrainers, we also regularly have new items on the menu. The wild boar Käsekrainer is enjoying great popularity currently. But also popular are the spicy varieties with the lovely names of “Jack the Ripper” or “Pusztakrainer”.
But the accompaniments, too, make choosing very difficult.
We have home-made potato salad, goulash sauce, and the sauerkraut is also a popular accompaniment. Some customers already know what their favourite combination is and look forward to the accustomed quality. But, especially on cold days, the soups are also a well-loved alternative. And if you just can’t go without your sausage, we’re happy to slice it up into the soup for you.
Although you can enjoy the wonderful view from your establishment the whole year round, you have an extra patio area for those who enjoy the fresh air.
We can seat 15 to 20 guests at our tables on nice days, allowing them to enjoy a good meal and relax together with a beer or a coffee. Our location is an inviting spot to sit and watch the passers-by.
