The fish ponds of the fish farm Kofler in Gries am Brenner were built in 2017 and are designed as natural ponds. The best mountain water comes from the Fraderbach from the best sources. The Kofler family offers the Kwell char from Obernberg fresh or smoked on Friday and Saturday mornings at the farmers' market. In addition, you will get the Tyrolean alpine shrimps at Petra's stand.
Good tip: order the fish by phone the day before, because they are usually sold out within a short time ;)
This is not only true for the fresh fish. The smoked char are also a tongue-twister in a class of their own.
